The ‘White Storm’ military exercise, conducted every two years by the Turkish Naval Forces Command, was successfully completed in the Marmara, Aegean Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean this year with the participation Land Forces units on 14 through 25 May.
The White Storm drill aims to improve the mobility power and ability of the military units that participate in the drill and contribute to the maintenance of security in the Mediterranean and the Aegean. The Land Forces Command, Naval Forces Command, Air Force Command and Coast Guard Command took part in White Storm. Naval Forces warships launched guided missiles hitting naval targets during the exercise.
Vessels participating in the drill later visited the Gokceada, Bozcaada, Çanakkale, Dikili, Foça, Uzunada, İzmir, Çeşme, Kuşadası, Güllük, Bodrum, Datça, Marmaris, Aksaz, Fethiye and Antalya ports.
